After the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday that it is terminating the collective bargaining agreement with employees of the Transportation Security Administration, Steve Sweeney issued the following statement:
“Homeland Security’s decision to end the collective bargaining agreement that protects the rights and benefits of over 50,000 men and women of the TSA is a slap in the face – not just to TSA employees, but to workers everywhere.
“Let this serve as a reminder that elections matter. That’s why it’s more important than ever that the Democrat nominated in June is a candidate who can win in November. We need to protect union members and their families. I promise to be that candidate, and when I’m elected Governor, I will fight tooth and nail to ensure we do right by our workers every single day.”
