Southern New Jersey Central Labor Council Endorses Steve Sweeney for Governor

Woodbury, NJ – Today, the Southern New Jersey Central Labor Council is officially endorsing Steve Sweeney’s bid to be the next Governor of New Jersey in recognition of his steadfast support for the working people of South Jersey by raising wages for workers, creating new jobs, and strengthening worker protections. Steve Sweeney pledges to be the quality-of-life Governor, committed to delivering real, positive change and protecting the interests of working- and middle-class families across the state.
“Steve Sweeney is a passionate advocate for the working class, and his platform is built on addressing the everyday struggles of working families,” said Southern New Jersey Central Labor Council President Sam Ferraino, Jr. “He understands the challenges of balancing work, family, and financial stability, and has consistently championed policies aimed at improving wages, job security, and access to affordable healthcare.”
