BURLINGTON COUNTY LEADERS ENDORSE STEVE SWEENEY FOR GOVERNOR |
Woodbury, NJ – Today, a group of current and former Burlington County leaders are officially endorsing Steve Sweeney for Governor, citing his pledge to be a quality-of-life governor, his experience as Senate President, and his commitment to addressing the cost-of-living and fighting for the rights of New Jerseyans in the face of threats from Washington.
This round of endorsements keeps Steve’s momentum going after receiving the endorsement of the Democratic Mayor and the entire Mount Laurel Township Council.
Steve Sweeney issued the following statement:
“I’m honored to have the backing of these great Democratic leaders from Burlington County. I grew up in Pennsauken, right next door to Burlington County, so this means a lot to me personally. As the only candidate in this race from South Jersey, I don’t need a map to find Burlington County, and I’ll make sure Burlington’s leaders always have a seat at the table in Trenton. As Governor, I will focus on a middle class agenda that puts working people first, for a change, and hold Trump, Musk, and their buddies in Congress accountable for hurting the poor, disabled, and the elderly at our expense.”
Latest endorsers of Steve Sweeney for Governor joining Congressman Herbert C. Conaway, Jr, MD, State Senator Troy Singleton, Assemblywoman Carol Murphy, Assemblywoman Andrea Katz, and the South Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council include:
